The concept of the product design was to have an elegant and premium gin with an African theme. The name Koyarwa, from the Lhomwe word koyariwa (meaning birth) symbolizes the restorative power of every sip.

 

The bird is called African Citril which is found in woodlands of Eastern Africa and the mountains represent the highest peak in southern Africa known as Mulanje Mountain in Malawi.
